The Museo Leonardiano (Leonardo Museum) in Vinci

The Museo Leonardiano in Vinci, the town where the Renaissance genius was born, is one of the most extensive and original collections of machines and models of Leonardo the inventor, technologist and engineer.
The museum itinerary winds through the Castle of the Counts Guidi and the Palazzina Uzielli: several models of Leonardo's machines are displayed, with precise references to the artist's sketches. The machines range across different fields of study, just as extensive and multifaceted are the drawings through which Leonardo portrayed his insights or restored and refined mechanisms handed down in the technical literature of the fifteenth century.
The museum also contains a video library and Leonardo’s designs for Luca Pacioli’s “De Divina Proportione”. Equipped with 25 seats, the cinema room shows documentary films on demand about Leonardo’s life, work and the places where he lived.
The Palazzina Uzielli, located next to the museum, includes a didactic center, exhibition rooms and a multimedia library. The museum complex includes the Leonardiana Library, with temporary exhibitions that offer educational programs.
