Chianti is a word that evokes history, wine and good food, all at the same time. The most famous Chianti vineyards in the world stretch out on the slopes of the lower Apennines in the south of Florence, together with olive groves, on a land that is completely uncontaminated and that offers wonderful panoramic views in every season.
With this tour we will drive you across one of the most beautiful area of Italy, following the Chiantigiana, the old Roman road from Florence to Rome, and during the trip we can stop at the Second World War American Cemetery for a visit.
When traveling around Chianti you cannot miss a visit to its castles, all of them still producing wine and belonging to famous families such as the Verrazzano, the Vespucci and the Uzzano. Visiting this properties, some of them built more than a thousand years ago, will let us understand the strategic importance that these castles once had, and the delicious wines they now produce.
