Cortona is a land of borders and where many wars took place in the past, but also a land blessed by God, which reveals one of its many faces to the pilgrim who approaches it with respect.

Here is one of the most beautiful hermitages in Tuscany, the Eremo delle Celle, which was San Francesco's favorite stop on the way to Assisi. After an in-depth visit to this magical place and a quick packed lunch, we will drive up to the basilica erected in honor of Santa Margherita, the last patron saint of the city. 

Going down the road embellished by the Via Crucis by Gino Severini we will arrive at Poggio, where we will visit two other places full of mysticism: the Church of San Niccolò (rich in works of art of the highest level, especially Signorelli) and Santa Chiara, again part of the women's convent. 

We will end our tour with the church of San Francesco, which cherishes many secrets that have not yet been revealed.
