A beautiful walk in the Chianti countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. An easy (about 6 Km) and very scenic walk to reach an ancient place, rich in history and still little-known.
We will visit the remains of the Etruscan tomb of the archer, discovered by chance in the 1970s and, taking a leap of almost 3000 years, we will relax in the unusual contemporary art park (unique of its kind in this area of Chianti) owned by a local farm where we will be welcomed with good wine and a picnic basket for a snack.
An experience between history, art and nature accompanied by a local guide. We recommend comfortable shoes, closed, suitable for walking in the countryside and a bottle of water.
It is always available in date and hours to be agreed.
Picnic basket with snacks (stuffed focaccia, skewer of vegetables and cheese). Cost € 20 per person to be paid at the farm.
Meeting at the parking lot of Montefiridolfi.
A brief visit to the square and the town centre; then we go on foot to the Etruscan Tomb. Along the way, short stops to admire the view and learn more about ancient buildings such as the former convent of Santissima Annunziata and the Church of San Colombano.
Guided visit to the Etruscan Tomb of the Archer.
Then we have a nice break and snack at a local farm, surrounded by a breathtaking view among vineyards, olive trees and contemporary art installations.
Return to the parking lot at the end of the excursion (about 4 hours).
