The 51st edition of Forme nel Verde, hosted in the beautiful village of San Quirico d'Orcia, once again brings leading contemporary art artists to the setting of the 16th century Horti Leonini.
The longest-running outdoor sculpture exhibition will run from July 23 to November 2, with 42 artists of many nationalities - Syria, Turkey, France, Russia, Ukraine, Italy and Germany - occupying the Horti Leonini for a choral exhibition dedicated to "peace".
The artists are called upon to interpret the Italian-style geometries and the English-style woodland according to their own sensibility, taking into account the ways in which they will establish a relationship with the eye of the visitor walking through the avenues of greenery, with the light that invades the space, with the smells of the tree essences, and with the sounds hidden in the nooks and crannies of the woods and undergrowth.
Opening on July 23, 6 p.m., at the Piazza della Libertà.
On July 25, at 9 p.m., performance Take Care: a project by Stefania Vichi, featuring Yevgeniya Korshunova, prima ballerina of the Kiev Opera.
