Tuscany hosts important fairs and events in the areas of handicrafts and creativity every year. From January to December, here are some dedicated events that cannot be missed.

MIDA - Handicrafts Fair in Florence

Every year since 1931, Florence has hosted the annual International Handicrafts Fair, which takes place in April at the Fortezza di Basso between April 25 and May 1.

Here you can admire many products, made not only in Florentine and Tuscan workshops, but also in workshops in other Italian regions and around the world.

Crafts and Palace in Florence

It is a true festival involving about a hundred artisans, carefully selected for their skilled craftsmanship. For three days they "recreate" their workshops and show their skills, in the beautiful setting of the Palazzo Corsini garden.

The fair is usually held in May. The 2022 edition takes place on September 16-18.

Cèramica - International Ceramics Festival in Montelupo Fiorentino

Since 1993, the city of Montelupo Fiorentino has celebrated the centuries-old tradition of ceramics with the International Ceramics Festival, which usually takes place in the third week of June.

On the occasion of Cèramica, in addition to the national market, workshop activities, tours, installations and special exhibitions are organized, aimed at highlighting the traditional and innovative aspects of this ancient production.

Fashion in Flair in Lucca

An appointment that cannot be missed within the walls of Lucca to discover the creations of designers and artisans in an event with an international flavor. Furniture, accessories, clothing and jewelry are the protagonists of this event that takes place in the historical Villa Bottini twice a year.

Fashion in Flair has a spring edition between April and May, and a fall edition between September and October. The 2022 edition is held from October 14 to 16.

The Fierucola in Florence

Throughout the year, Florentine and Tuscan artisans gather in Piazza Santissima Annunziata and Piazza Santo Spirito for recurring local fairs affectionately called Fierucole or Fierucoline.

The Fierucola in Piazza Santissima Annunziata occurs on the first weekend of April, May, September, October, November and December, while the Fierucolina in Piazza Santo Spirito takes place on the third Sunday of each month except August. In addition to these, there are special editions dedicated to products or historical anniversaries, such as the Bread Fierucola in early September and the Immaculate Fierucola on December 8.

Creative Factory in Florence

On the second weekend of the month, Piazza dei Ciompi comes alive with the creations of small artisans and up-and-coming designers, who showcase their beautiful creations.
