We walk back in time to August 1944, retracing the history of partisans of the Gruppo Valanga and the events that saw them protagonists in the battle of Monte Rovaio.

We walk along beautiful trails, passing under the walls where the partisans took refuge fighting for our country. Splendid views are in successions, mighty. We are in the heart of the Apuan Alps and from here we admire all their beauty.

Here the sacrifice of many men was big, we walk to not forget it. We remember from what our Republic was born and who gave their lives for what that, at that time, was only a dream.

Day trip excursion suitable for people with good physical preparation. The path is well marked and does not present technical problems except for a short slightly exposed stretch, but easy to overcome.

Recommended clothing and equipment: hiking shoes, layered hiking clothing, rain jacket, poles or walking sticks (optional), day pack, packed lunch, water to drink at least 1.5 litres, hat
